How to Integrate Poptin with Customer.io
Poptin still asks for a Customer.io Site ID, API key and Segment ID. Paste them on the popup's Email and Integrations panel, Approve, then publish. A successful connection drops an API test lead into that segment.

Customer.io has moved API credentials around since that screenshot. If Account Settings → Integrations → Customer.io API is gone, look under Data & Integrations / API credentials for a Site ID and API key. The Poptin form has not changed: it still wants those three values.
How do I connect them?
- In Customer.io, copy the Site ID and API key.

- Open Segments, click the segment that should receive Poptin leads, and copy the Segment ID from the URL.
- In Poptin, open the popup → Edit Design → Email and Integrations → Add Integration.
- Choose Customer.io. Paste Site ID, API key and Segment ID.

- Click Approve, then Next or Publish Changes.
The popup needs name/email fields. Poptin's documented payload is:
- Name
- Phone
- Message
If the test lead is missing, the Segment ID is the usual culprit. It lives in the URL after you click the segment, not in the segment's display name.
