How to Integrate Poptin with SendGrid

Create a SendGrid API key, copy the Marketing Contacts list ID from the URL (the alphanumeric string after /lists/), paste both into Poptin, Approve, then publish. A successful connection drops an API test lead on that list.

Twilio has folded SendGrid into a broader console. Poptin's form still says Sendgrid, API Key, List ID. If the Marketing → Contacts labels have moved, the list ID is still the value in the list URL.

How do I connect them?

  1. In SendGrid, go to Settings → API Keys. Create a key with Full Access, or reuse one. Copy the full key; SendGrid shows it once.

  1. Go to Marketing → Contacts, open the list, and copy the list ID from the address bar (after /lists/).
  2. In Poptin, open the popup → Edit DesignEmail and IntegrationsAdd Integration.
  3. Choose SendGrid. Paste the API key and list ID.
  4. Click Approve, then Next or Publish Changes.

Documented fields:

  • Name
  • Email
  • Phone

A G2 reviewer has asked for custom-field mapping to SendGrid contact fields. Poptin's help article does not document that. If you need more than name/email/phone, you are in Zapier or webhook territory, not this native connector.

Poptin asked for Full Access on the key. That is broader than a list-update scope. If your security policy forbids it, do not use this native integration; use a webhook with a tightly scoped key instead.
