How to Integrate Privy with Postscript
Set up Privy’s Postscript integration in two stages: link the accounts, then choose a keyword in each display’s sync rule. Verify the resulting subscriber and follow-up before using the form for a live campaign.
The connection steps follow Privy’s Postscript guide, checked September 6, 2026. The testing worksheet below is editorial guidance, not a claim of product-account testing.
Connect and configure the display
- In Privy, open Settings → Linked Accounts → Postscript.
- Enter the email address and API token requested by the integration, then link the account.
- Add a phone field to the display. Follow the source guide’s disclosure instructions and link your own Terms of Service and Privacy Policy.
- Open the display’s Settings → Advanced Settings → Sync Integrations.
- Add Postscript, select the intended keyword and save. Repeat for each display that should sync.
Privy documents routing signups to the selected keyword’s automated flow. Record that keyword beside the display name so another editor can understand the intended destination.
Prepare a test before launch
Choose a controlled phone number and record the display, page URL, submission time and expected keyword. Review the message associated with that keyword before submitting, so the test does not trigger an unexpected campaign.
Keep credentials out of screenshots and shared test notes. Useful notes identify the account and campaign, not the API token itself.
Verify collection, routing and follow-up separately
| Check | Evidence to inspect | Why it matters |
|---|---|---|
| Form presentation | Phone input and disclosure are readable on a narrow screen | A desktop preview does not establish mobile usability |
| Policy links | Each opens the intended store document | Template links can point to the wrong destination |
| Collection | The test submission is recorded in Privy | Isolates form behavior from integration behavior |
| Subscriber arrival | The intended record appears in Postscript | Establishes that the destination received the signup |
| Routing | The saved keyword matches the intended flow | Prevents diagnosing the wrong automation |
| Subscription state | The destination shows the expected eligibility | Record creation alone is not proof of sending permission |
| Follow-up | The expected test message arrives | Checks the outcome beyond connection success |
If the contact does not arrive, inspect collection and the saved sync rule before changing the entire setup. If it arrives but no message follows, investigate the destination’s status and flow requirements separately.
Avoid promising automatic recovery of earlier failed submissions. The reviewed setup guide does not document replay behavior, historical imports or complete field-mapping coverage. Verify those separately if your migration depends on them.
Change or remove the connection carefully
Privy documents deleting Postscript from Linked Accounts to disconnect it. First identify the displays using that connection and decide where future signups should go. After changing a keyword or reconnecting, repeat the controlled test rather than assuming the previous result still applies.

Questions before you decide
Frequently asked questions
Where do I choose the Postscript keyword for a Privy display?
Choose it in that display’s Postscript sync rule under Settings, Advanced Settings and Sync Integrations. Privy documents this as a per-display setting, so review each display’s selected keyword.
