Capsule. Profile bubble → Connected sites → plus → type the domain. It stays dead until the snippet is on the site (Settings → Install Adoric: manual JS in the head, or GTM on all pages). Shopify app: you do not paste code. Sources: Add & verify a domain, Connected sites (both in the index as of 9 July 2026), Install Adoric (updated 9 July 2026).

This is the web product. If you installed Adoric from the Shopify App Store, skip to the last section.

How do you add a domain?

Adoric lets more than one domain sit on one account, up to the plan. Basic on the 23 August 2026 pricing page includes 3 domains. Help does not print a Free-plan domain cap.

1. Log in. Click the profile bubble at the top right.

2. Choose Connected sites.

3. Click the + next to "Show code."

4. Enter the domain, industry if asked, then Next.

The screenshots are from 2023. Connected sites is still the path in the 9 July 2026 help article, so the clicks match even if the chrome looks older.

How do you verify it?

Adding the row is not install. Help's step 4 is: check the connection, which means install Adoric.

1. On Connected sites, click Show code. You can also go top bar → SettingsInstall Adoric. Current help lists two methods there: Manual install and Google Tag Manager.

2. Copy the snippet, or email it to whoever owns the theme.

3. Manual: paste in the site <head>, before </head>. GTM: Custom HTML, all pages. Help is explicit: the tag has to run everywhere, not on a thank-you page only.

4. Reload a page on the live domain. Connected sites should flip to active. If it doesn't, you have a cache, a tag blocked by a consent banner, or the snippet on a staging host that is not the domain you typed.

There is no Adoric plugin on wordpress.org as of 23 August 2026. Our older WordPress post described a plugin. Use the snippet or GTM instead: How to integrate Adoric with WordPress.

What about Shopify?

The install article's first line: if you use the Shopify app, you do not install the activation code. Enable the app embed for recs that sit in the theme. Connected sites is marked "not related to Shopify merchant" in help.

What usually breaks?

  • Typo in the domain, or www vs apex. Type it the way visitors type it.
  • Consent tools firing Adoric after opt-in only. Pageviews and campaigns will look "broken" until a visitor clicks accept.
  • Plan domain cap. Upgrade on Account → Plan if + is dead.
  • Staging URL that never matches production. Add the production host, not the Netlify preview.
How long does verification take?

Usually as soon as a page with the snippet loads. A few minutes if a CDN is caching an old head. Not 24 hours.

Can I verify a site that is not live yet?

The snippet has to execute on a reachable host. A parked domain with no HTML will not verify. A passworded staging site can, if you load it while logged in and the snippet is in the head.

How many domains can I add?

Whatever the plan allows. Live web pricing on 23 Aug 2026: Basic 3, Essentials 4, Standard 5, Enterprise 6. Help only says "according to your plan."
