How to Add a List to Your OptinMonster Campaign?

Emel DalabasmazUpdated September 6, 20262 min read

This is a visual list inside the campaign (feature rows, benefit bullets), not an email list. Connecting Mailchimp or Brevo is a different job. See how to integrate OptinMonster with Mailchimp for that.

The Smart List block is a Smart Block. OptinMonster puts it on Pro and higher. Current plan gates: OptinMonster pricing.

1. Open the campaign in the builder and stay on the Design view.

2. If the block library is empty, click the home icon in the sidebar so you are on the home panel.

3. Drag a Smart List block into the canvas.

4. Use the sidebar to edit the items, icons and spacing.

5. Open the Advanced tab on the block if you need padding, fonts or mobile tweaks.

6. Save the campaign.

Make the list useful to readers

Use parallel, concrete items that help a visitor evaluate the offer. For example, a download campaign might list what the resource covers rather than repeating three versions of “get better results.” These are editorial suggestions, not tested conversion findings.

Keep each item short enough to scan. If one needs a paragraph of explanation, consider putting that detail elsewhere instead of compressing it into a crowded list row.

Verify the rendered list

Check What to inspect
Mobile layout Items wrap without clipping or overlapping icons
Meaning Each item adds a distinct, accurate detail
Links Any linked item opens the intended destination
Keyboard Linked items are reachable and understandable
Campaign hierarchy The list supports the main action rather than obscuring it

Test with the final copy. A list that fits with short placeholders can become difficult to read after editing.

If the block is unavailable, check the sidebar panel and account entitlement first. Those checks do not establish every possible cause of a missing control.

Check measurement separately

The vendor guide documents a GA Block ID for an individual list item after a valid link is entered. An identifier alone does not prove that your analytics records the interaction. Verify a controlled click in your actual measurement setup if list-link performance matters.

Source checked September 6, 2026: OptinMonster’s Smart List guide, which displays an October 3, 2022 update date. This is documentation-based guidance, not an account-level test.

Questions before you decide

Frequently asked questions

Where is the GA Block ID for an OptinMonster Smart List item?

The guide says to open the individual item’s edit controls and enter a valid link. The GA Block ID section appears below the Link section. Verify analytics behavior separately if you use it for measurement.
