How to Ask for a Refund from OptinMonster?

Emel DalabasmazUpdated September 6, 20262 min read

OptinMonster documents this on How to Request a Refund and in the terms.

Check the published eligibility rules

OptinMonster’s published policy states:

  • Full refund within 14 days of an eligible first-time purchase.
  • Free trials and renewals are not eligible.
  • No full or partial refund after day 14.
  • Canceling the subscription does not process a refund. You still have to ask.

Submit the request

1. Log in and click Help at the top of the dashboard.

2. Click Submit a Ticket at the bottom of that panel.

3. In What can we help you with today? choose I would like to request a refund. You can include a reason for your request.

4. Submit the ticket. The vendor says it follows up by email during normal support hours; this is not a stated refund-settlement deadline.

Keep a clear request record

Item Why it helps
Purchase date and receipt reference Identifies the transaction you want reviewed
Account email Connects the request to the right subscription
Submission time and ticket reference Provides a record of when you requested the refund
Support response Separates an acknowledgment from an approval
Billing status Confirms whether renewal remains active

This is an editorial preparation checklist, not a claim that each item is a required ticket field. Do not include full card details or account passwords.

You can adapt this message: “Please review my refund request for the purchase dated [date], receipt [reference], on account [email]. Please confirm the outcome and whether any separate action is needed to stop renewal.” Replace the placeholders with your own information before submitting.

Follow up without confusing separate outcomes

If you cannot find a response, check the account email and spam folder, then follow up with the existing ticket reference. Keep approval, payment receipt and cancellation confirmation as separate checks. A submitted request is not proof that money has arrived or that renewal has stopped.

The published terms say subscriptions renew automatically unless canceled and direct users to account billing or support for cancellation. Check the resulting billing status if you intend to stop future renewal.

Sources checked September 6, 2026: refund instructions and terms. The instruction page displays a November 13, 2019 update date. These are the vendor’s published rules, not a determination of an individual account’s outcome.

Frequently asked questions

Does canceling my OptinMonster subscription automatically request a refund?

No. OptinMonster’s refund instructions say cancellation does not automatically process a refund. You must contact support to request a refund for an eligible purchase.
