How to Integrate Privy with Wix

Emel DalabasmazUpdated September 6, 20263 min read

Install Privy’s Wix app to add its site code; place a particular embedded form separately. Treat installation, display visibility and form submission as different checks when deciding whether the setup works.

Privy’s Wix installation guide and Wix embedded-form guide were checked September 6, 2026. They contain older editor terminology, so compare their paths with your current Wix interface.

Install the app

Privy lists a Premium plan, connected domain and Wix Editor as prerequisites for its app, excluding ADI. Use the Wix App Market listing linked from its installation guide, select your site, review permissions and link the intended Privy account. Privy says an account already linked to another site cannot be selected for this connection.

Before installation, review which Privy displays are published. The app installs site code automatically, so eligible campaigns may appear once it is connected.

Add a form inside a page

The form guide requires installed Privy code and a Classic Designer embedded form. Retrieve the form’s campaign ID from its embed code and use the permalink format documented in the source guide. In Wix Editor, add an embedded widget, choose its website-address option, paste that form URL and adjust the placement before publishing.

The embed guide also retains ADI instructions, whereas the app guide excludes ADI. Do not read those legacy embed steps as proof of current app compatibility. Verify your editor’s supported route if its controls differ.

Verify the visitor experience

Use the published site and a controlled test address. Record the page, device, campaign and visitor state so the result can be reproduced.

Check What to inspect What it isolates
App connection Correct site and Privy account Installation destination
Display eligibility Publication, trigger and audience rules Campaign configuration
Cookie choice Behavior before and after the visitor’s choice Consent-dependent loading
Embedded placement Correct form appears in the intended section Widget URL and placement
Phone layout Fields, confirmation and buttons fit Container sizing and usability
Test submission Contact exists in Privy Collection
External follow-up Intended destination and message are verified Sync and sending

Privy documents that Wix’s cookie banner can prevent displays before consent, with subsequent page loads allowing them after consent. Test that sequence; do not remove the banner merely to make a popup visible.

Diagnose the specific failure

If the popup is absent, check eligibility and visitor state before adding another installation method. If only the embedded form is blank, compare its campaign ID and permalink with the source instructions and inspect the widget dimensions.

The form guide lists an account-level Invisible reCAPTCHA change as troubleshooting. Review its effect with support before using it as a blanket fix for a display problem. A blank widget alone does not identify the cause.

Privy also documents no Wix catalog integration, so cross-sell product IDs require manual entry. Check the IDs used by that campaign separately from whether the app is installed.

Keep a useful handoff record

Record where the app is connected and where each form widget lives. Note the tested pages and expected campaigns so a future site redesign does not leave an unexplained embed behind. Do not count a single successful preview as verification of every page template.

For the form-building steps, see Privy embedded forms. For visibility rules, use Privy audience targeting.

Questions before you decide

Frequently asked questions

Does connecting the Privy Wix app automatically sync the product catalog?

No. Privy documents that Wix catalog integration is not provided and that cross-sell displays require product IDs to be entered manually. App installation alone does not populate that campaign configuration.
