What is the Refund Policy of OptiMonk?

Emel DalabasmazUpdated August 23, 20261 min read

OptiMonk still refunds the first payment if you ask within 14 days, with no explanation required. That rule is in the 29 July 2025 refund article and in the terms of service. After day 14, canceling only stops the next charge. Unused months on an annual plan are not paid back.

This is not a 30-day money-back window. Sleeknote and some others still advertise that. OptiMonk does not.

How to ask

Email support@optimonk.com and include the email address on the OptiMonk account. Live chat can start the same request.

Do it inside 14 days of the first payment. Later payments, and the rest of an annual term after day 14, are outside the published promise.

Card, PayPal, Shopify

Card or PayPal, billed inside the OptiMonk admin: once they confirm the request, they say the refund is sent at once and shows on the bank statement in 1-2 business days.

Shopify app billing: you paid Shopify, not OptiMonk's card form. OptiMonk can still start the refund. Timing after that is Shopify Support's number. Write both teams if the money has not moved.

Cancel vs refund

Cancel (downgrade to Free) is self-serve: Profile → Subscription → Downgrade. Steps: How to cancel OptiMonk subscription.

That does not, by itself, return this month's or this year's fee. Ask for the refund in the 14-day window if you want the money back.

The 10% revenue guarantee is a different product

OptiMonk also markets a "boost revenue by 10% or money back" guarantee, with a course, a testing protocol and an evaluation step. That is not the 14-day first-payment refund. Do not mix them up. The 14-day rule is the one you can use after a short trial of a paid plan.

Plan prices: OptiMonk pricing.
