How to Remove a Thank You Page from a Campaign on Privy

Emel DalabasmazUpdated August 23, 20262 min read

The 2023 steps on this URL (Convert > All Campaigns > After Signup Action > Do Nothing) are not in Privy's current help. We searched the published docs in August 2026 and did not find a "remove thank-you page" article. A Privy Convert display still has a thank-you step after signup. You can redesign it. You cannot documentably turn it off.

If you came here to stop a second modal after an after-signup email, the current move is: keep the thank-you page small, put the coupon on it, and let the email do the rest.

selecting Do Nothing on After Signup Action on the dashboard of Privy

That screenshot is the old control. If your dashboard still shows Do Nothing, you are on the Classic campaign builder and the 2023 path may still work. Newer displays will not.

What can you do instead?

Classic Designer (embedded forms, older popups). After you save the form, Create includes Thank You Page Design. Edit copy, drop {{ signup.coupon_code }} if you attached a coupon, save. Source: Create an Embedded Form.

Newer display builder. The thank-you step is in the bottom navigation of the editor. Same job: confirm the signup, show the code, tell double-opt-in contacts to check their inbox. Source: Coupon Codes.

If you use Double Opt-In. Privy wants the thank-you page to say "check your inbox". Blanking that page fights the opt-in. See Email Opt-In Methods.

Why keep it at all?

Three things still need a surface after submit:

  • The coupon the visitor just earned
  • The "reply Y" SMS prompt, if you collect a number
  • The double-opt-in reminder

The after-signup email is not a replacement for that first second. Visitors close the tab.

Frequently asked questions

I still see Do Nothing. Should I use it?

Only if you have tested the live display. On Classic it used to skip the thank-you view. We cannot confirm that path on accounts opened after the 2025 builder changes. Publish, submit the form yourself, and look.

Can I redirect to my own /thanks URL?

Not as a documented Convert setting. Landing-page displays have their own URL. A popup does not hand off to your theme's thank-you route.

Embedded form how-to: Create an embedded form. Product: Privy.
