A click-triggered Privy display is the least annoying overlay you can run: the visitor asked. Turn off automatic show, use a tab or a page button, and publish. Privy's current help treats custom JavaScript as out of support. Do not combine a click campaign with a first-load wall on the same URL.
The 2023 'After Signup Action > Do Nothing' control is not in Privy's current help docs. Convert still shows a thank-you step after signup. You can redesign it, put the coupon on it, or keep it minimal. You cannot documentably delete it.
Privy embedded forms still exist in 2026. They only live in the Classic Designer, not the newer display builder. Create the form, customise the thank-you step, publish, then paste the embed code into your theme.
Privy targeting in 2026 lives on the Settings step of a display, not on the old When/Who/How Long cards. Set a trigger or the campaign will not auto-show. Cart rules need Shopify or BigCommerce.
Privy's old 'detected attributes' are now Profile Attributes in display Settings. They stamp signup URL, UTM, pageviews, session count, coupon and a custom field onto the contact. They are not a hidden-field builder in the current docs.
