Privy currently starts at $24/month for Pop-ups & Displays or $30/month for Email + SMS. The headline price is only the first input. Displays scales with average monthly pageviews, Email scales with the highest mailable-contact count in the billing cycle, and SMS uses expiring credits.
This page was updated 6 September 2026 after reviewing all ten results and four People Also Ask questions returned for “Privy pricing.” Six of the ten results concern other businesses named Privy or Privyr, mostly crypto infrastructure. They are excluded from ecommerce pricing.
Current public entry points
| Purchase route | Starting price | Starting allowance | Included product scope |
|---|---|---|---|
| Pop-ups & Displays | $24/month | Up to 10,000 average monthly pageviews | Displays, templates, targeting, forms, quizzes and A/B testing; no Privy email or SMS |
| Email + SMS | $30/month | Up to 1,500 mailable contacts | Displays, unlimited email sends and 250 SMS credits each month |
| Shopify “Email and SMS” example | $45/month | Up to 1,500 email contacts and 1,250 SMS credits | Email plan plus a larger SMS credit subscription |
Prices are in USD. Privy's current public page says there is no annual contract, while the billing document notes that annual or bundled agreements can exist. The configured checkout or written agreement controls for a particular account.
The three billing meters
1. Average monthly pageviews
The Displays plan starts at $24/month for up to 10,000 average monthly pageviews. It does not include Privy's email or text features. The public page exposes a selector for higher traffic levels, but a complete current ladder was not available in the extracted page text. Select the real traffic band and save the resulting amount.
Do not substitute popup impressions or unique visitors for pageviews. Confirm how Privy calculates the average, how quickly a traffic change moves the account and what happens near a band boundary.
2. Highest mailable-contact count
Email + SMS starts at $30/month for up to 1,500 mailable contacts. Privy's billing document says it charges on the highest mailable-contact count reached during the billing cycle. Crossing a band can create a prorated move to the higher tier. If the account later falls below a boundary, it can move down automatically.
The published scaling pattern after 1,500 contacts is:
| Contact range | Published increment |
|---|---|
| 1,501–2,000 | $15 for each 500 contacts |
| 2,001–25,000 | $15 for each 1,000 contacts |
| 25,001–100,000 | $30 for each 5,000 contacts |
| 100,001–500,000 | $60 for each 10,000 contacts |
| Above 500,000 | $300 for each 50,000 contacts |
This describes increments, not a complete quote table. Privy also says no notification is sent when contact auto-scaling changes the tier. Monitor the Plans & Billing estimate and keep a dated record of list size and expected next-band cost.
3. SMS credits
The starting Email + SMS offer includes 250 credits each month. More capacity is bought as a monthly credit subscription or an on-demand top-up. Credit use depends on recipient country, message length and whether the message is MMS.
Credit expiry differs by source:
| Credit type | Published expiry |
|---|---|
| Included 250 monthly credits | 30 days from the subscription-period start; typically do not carry into the next month |
| Paid monthly SMS package | 60 days from the subscription-period start; can roll into the next cycle before expiring |
| On-demand top-up | 60 days from purchase |
Privy's pricing interface uses the shorter phrase “credits rollover.” The billing document supplies the expiry rules above. A rollover is therefore temporary, not indefinite.
If the balance is insufficient, SMS and MMS campaigns cannot send and automated Flow messages do not go out. A buyer can purchase a top-up or raise the subscription tier. A mid-cycle SMS tier upgrade is prorated and the prorated credits are issued immediately.
What does the 15-day trial include?
No credit card is required on the public pricing page. For subscriptions activated after 8 July 2025, Privy documents:
- Displays without feature or traffic limits for 15 days;
- Email with a 100-person daily send limit for 15 days.
After the trial, an unpaid account cannot continue using Privy. Existing displays deactivate and active Flows stop. That is a trial, not an ongoing free subscription.
Use the period to test one complete path: display eligibility, form and consent, contact storage, destination sync, delivered follow-up and reporting. A template preview does not establish whether the operational workflow works.
Why do older pages show different Privy plans?
Privy changed its subscription model on 8 July 2025. Its current post-change billing page names Email + SMS and Displays. A separate document for older accounts still names Convert Only, Starter and Growth. Marketplace and third-party pages can therefore show prices for a different catalog or even another company named Privy.
For a purchase or renewal, record the account activation date and exact dashboard plan name. Do not map an old “Starter” or “Growth” label onto the new public offer without account-level confirmation.
Billing, cancellation and refunds
Privy bills in USD. The current post-change document says card payments are processed through Stripe, the first invoice is charged immediately and later plan changes appear on the next billing date unless a specific prorating rule applies.
Cancellation takes place in Settings → Plans & Billing. Uninstalling Privy, closing the connected store or leaving the account unused does not cancel the subscription. Cancel the desired plan explicitly. A mid-cycle cancellation removes its paid features immediately.
Refund requests are reviewed case by case. The published eligibility window is ten days from the initial charge date, but Privy lists exclusions including inactivity, uninstall without cancellation, annual billing, promotional rates and confirmed upgrade steps. Approved refunds can take 5–10 business days. Billing support is listed at billing@privy.com, weekdays from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. EST.
Build a Privy purchase record
Before approval, save:
- account activation date and exact product label;
- selected pageview or mailable-contact tier;
- SMS subscription, included credits, top-ups and expiry dates;
- checkout amount, tax, billing date and renewal amount;
- next usage boundary and the forecast month it may be crossed;
- required display, email, automation, reporting and integration entitlements;
- cancellation timing, annual commitment and refund eligibility;
- source URLs, capture date and any written clarification from support.
Compare alternatives using the same workload. A pageview, popup view, unique visitor, mailable contact and SMS credit measure different things.
What the search results establish
The direct Privy pricing page, billing document and Shopify listing agree on the $24 Displays and $30 Email entry points. Shopify additionally shows the $45 example with 1,250 SMS credits. Capterra's search snippet says $15 and a free plan; it conflicts with current direct new-account documentation and its destination was unavailable. A 2026 independent pricing article repeats the current $24/$30 starting distinction but is not billing authority.
Results from privy.io, Openfort, APIs.io and F6S describe a crypto infrastructure company. Privyr is a different CRM product. The wallet ownership and wallet-cost People Also Ask questions were excluded for the same reason.
Research boundaries
No checkout, account dashboard, annual agreement, invoice, refund or live usage change was tested. The dynamic selectors may show more exact tiers than the extracted public text. This page reports confirmed entry prices, published scaling rules and operational billing terms; use the selected checkout for the final quote.
Questions before you decide
Frequently asked questions
How much does privy cost?
Privy's ecommerce product starts at $24/month for Pop-ups & Displays with up to 10,000 average monthly pageviews, or $30/month for Email + SMS with up to 1,500 mailable contacts and 250 monthly SMS credits. Select the actual usage bands for a quote.
Is Privy free?
Privy advertises a 15-day free trial without a credit card, not a permanent free plan for the current post-8-July-2025 catalog. When an unpaid trial ends, displays deactivate and active Flows stop.
Does Privy Email have a monthly send limit?
The paid Email + SMS offer lists unlimited email sends. The trial is different: Privy's billing document sets a 100-person daily email send limit for 15 days. SMS remains credit-based on paid accounts.
Do unused Privy SMS credits roll over?
Paid monthly packages can roll into the next cycle but expire 60 days from the subscription-period start. Top-ups expire 60 days from purchase. The included 250 monthly credits expire after 30 days and typically do not carry into the next month.
Can Privy change my contact tier automatically?
Yes. Privy says it bills on the highest mailable-contact count in the cycle and prorates a move to a higher tier after a limit is crossed. It also says the account can move down after the count falls, and no notification is sent for this auto-scaling.
Does uninstalling Privy cancel billing?
No. Privy says uninstalling the app, closing the connected store or leaving the account unused does not cancel its subscriptions. Cancel the desired plan in Plans & Billing and keep the confirmation.
What is Privy's refund window?
Privy says transactions are eligible for case-by-case refund review for ten days from the initial charge. It lists exclusions, including inactivity, uninstall without cancellation, annual billing, promotional rates and confirmed upgrades. Approval is not guaranteed.
