How Can I Delete My Poptin Account?

Emel DalabasmazUpdated September 6, 20262 min read

Poptin documents self-service permanent deletion for Free accounts in Settings → Profile. Paid accounts can move to Free first or request deletion from support. Confirm the account, records you need and billing status before proceeding.

Prepare before deleting

Item What to confirm
Account You are acting on the intended account, including any client work it contains.
Records Export needed leads where available and record campaign settings and integration mappings you will need later.
Billing Confirm the current subscription state and any effective dates or outstanding charges with Poptin.
Website Identify the app, plugin or snippet used for installation so its removal can be handled deliberately.
Replacement If a new form will take over, verify its destination before retiring the old workflow.

Check that saved records are usable before confirming deletion. The help article describes deletion as permanent and does not promise a recovery period.

Delete a Free account

Open Profile under Settings and locate Delete your account permanently. Review the account and the confirmation shown in the interface before completing the action.

If the control is missing, check your plan and account context, then ask support if needed. A missing control alone does not establish the cause.

Handle a paid account

The vendor gives two routes: move to the Free plan and then use the deletion control, or email Poptin support to request deletion. Confirm the billing effect and effective date separately; the deletion article does not specify refund or final-charge terms.

Cancelling a subscription, deleting an account and removing website code are different tasks. Do not infer that completing one automatically completed the others. Record any vendor confirmation and verify the published website after installation changes.

Check the outcome

Retain the confirmation you receive and any relevant billing record. Check the storefront or website for leftover installation behavior, and verify that replacement lead capture works if you configured it. If the account remains accessible or billing is unclear, provide support with the account identifier and confirmation details without sending a password.

For tool-selection research, see Poptin alternatives. For a plan change without account removal, consult Poptin pricing and the account’s current terms.

Questions before you decide

Frequently asked questions

Can a paid Poptin customer ask support to delete the account?

Yes. Poptin’s guide offers contacting support for deletion as an alternative to moving to Free and using self-service deletion. Confirm billing details separately because the guide does not define them.
