Checked 6 Sep 2026 on Poptin's pricing page and Shopify listing. Popup-only monthly cards displayed Basic $25, Pro $59 and Agency from $119, with printed annual totals of $240, $564 and $1,140. The combined Emails & Poptins route adds active-contact and email allowances; its Growth price was not reliably exposed in the returned text.

CheckedSeptember 2026Poptin’s own pricing page

Poptin has two product lines on one pricing page. The Poptins route prices popups and forms by monthly website visitors. Emails & Poptins also introduces active-contact and email allowances. Choose the route before comparing prices because a popup-only rate does not price a sending workflow.

Plan cards were checked 6 September 2026 against poptin.com/pricing. The returned page text did not expose a reliable Growth price for the combined route, so this guide leaves that amount unresolved rather than borrowing a third-party figure.

How much does Poptin cost?

Plan Monthly Printed annual total Visitors / mo Domains
Free $0 $0 1,000 1
Basic $25 $240 ($20/mo equivalent) 10,000 1
Pro $59 $564 ($47/mo equivalent) 50,000 4
Agency Starts at $119 Starts at $1,140 ($95/mo equivalent) Starts at 150,000 Unlimited

The public cards label poptins as unlimited. Treat that as a campaign-count statement, not unlimited reach: the visitor and domain allowances still apply. Agency has a visitor selector above the displayed 150,000 starting step, so $119 is not the price of every Agency configuration.

Use the printed annual totals rather than reconstructing them from the advertised 20% discount. Basic is $240/year ($20/month equivalent), Pro is $564/year ($47/month) and starting Agency is $1,140/year ($95/month). The Pro and Agency totals differ slightly from an exact 20% calculation on their monthly sticker prices.

How does Poptin count visitors?

A unique monthly visitor is anyone who loads a page with the snippet in the last 30 days. Several sessions still count as one visitor, unless they delete cookies or use a different device or browser. Bots are not counted. Source: How does Poptin count visitors?, updated 13 January 2025.

That is not the same as a view. A view is counted every time a campaign actually appears. 1,000 visitors and 100 displays = 100 views. Source: How does Poptin count views?.

Hit the visitor cap and campaigns stop for everyone, new and returning. An admin-only frontend notice ("You're losing new leads & sales") can be turned off in Profile settings. Turning the notice off does not keep campaigns running. Walkthrough: disable the monthly-limit popup.

Which plan variables matter?

The plan name is less useful than the requirements it must satisfy.

Variable Buying question
Visitor allowance How many visitors reach pages carrying the snippet in the same 30-day period?
Domains How many production sites need campaigns?
Autoresponders Will Poptin send the immediate message, and how many sends are required?
Branding Must the published campaign remove the Poptin credit?
Accounts and users Do clients or teammates need isolated access?
Support Which channel and response coverage are included in the selected offer?

The public sources conflict or lose meaning on several entitlements. Poptin's direct page renders some access states as icons that are ambiguous in text extraction. Its current Shopify listing explicitly says Free is branded and does not include the popup autoresponder. The billing documentation separately names Agency for subaccounts even though account-management labels appear on several cards. Confirm branding, autoresponders and user access in the actual route before publishing or inviting a client.

What is the Emails & Poptins line?

The combined Free card includes 250 active contacts, 500 emails, 1,000 visitors and one domain. At the initial displayed contact band, Growth shows 500 active contacts, unlimited emails and 5,000 visitors. Its captured price is blank. Confirm the selected contact band and actual billing total; we do not substitute a third-party price for that missing vendor quote.

Compare Poptin with a common scenario

Visitors, pageviews, popup views, campaign impressions, contacts and store orders are different billing units. Build one scenario before comparing vendors:

  1. Record monthly visitors and pageviews for every site where the script will run.
  2. Estimate the audience eligible for each campaign and its expected display frequency.
  3. Record domains, user seats and any external email or SMS tool needed.
  4. Select the vendor tier that contains the required trigger, integration and format.
  5. Compare the payment due now, later-term amount and available headroom.

Use dated product guides for Hello Bar, Adoric, Popupsmart, OptiMonk, OptinMonster, Privy, Sleeknote, Wisepops and Alia. A larger allowance number does not establish better value when it measures a different event or service scope.

Check the email allowance separately from popup traffic

The current pricing page separates Poptins from Emails & Poptins. The combined Free card lists 250 active contacts and 500 emails alongside 1,000 popup visitors and one domain. Its Growth card varies by selected contact band; the returned text did not expose a reliable price, so record the actual selected quote.

The vendor defines an active contact as one that was Subscribed or Unconfirmed at least once during the billing cycle. Later unsubscribing does not remove that cycle’s count. For example, importing contacts and then removing them from the subscribed audience should not be assumed to undo their billing impact. Record the chosen contact band, visitor allowance and billing period together.

The popup-only Agency selector lists traffic steps above 150,000, up to 2,000,000 visitors. Do not apply the starting Agency price to every step: confirm the selected allowance and checkout total first.

Record the purchase before launch

Keep a dated copy of the selected product route, visitor and contact bands, domains, annual or monthly payment, branding, user access and cancellation confirmation. The billing help collection documents downgrade and cancellation from Billing and plans, but the sections reviewed here do not establish a refund or exact access-end date for every account.

After purchase, test one campaign against the selected visitor allowance and destination. The Poptin overview supplies the acceptance checks; Poptin alternatives covers switching costs.

Questions before you decide

Frequently asked questions

How much does Poptin cost?

The popup-only cards checked on 5 September 2026 list Basic at $25 per month, Pro at $59 and Agency starting at $119 for 150,000 visitors. Printed annual totals are $240, $564 and $1,140 respectively. Free includes 1,000 visitors on one domain. Emails & Poptins is a separate offering; its paid price was not verified in this review.

Does unsubscribing a contact reduce the current billable count?

Not for that billing cycle. Poptin counts a contact that was Subscribed or Unconfirmed at any point during the cycle, even if it later becomes Unsubscribed. Each contact counts once per cycle, including across subaccounts. Budget for the active contacts reached during the cycle, not only the list size at its end.

Is every Agency traffic allowance $119 per month?

No. The starting card pairs $119 with 150,000 visitors, while the selector offers higher bands up to 2,000,000. The starting figure cannot establish the price of those higher bands. Record the selected band and checkout total together.

How much email capacity does the combined free plan include?

The Emails & Poptins Free card lists 250 active contacts, 500 emails, 1,000 monthly popup visitors and one domain. These are separate limits. A small email list does not increase the popup visitor allowance, and a low-traffic website does not increase the email allowance.

How do I cancel a paid Poptin plan?

The current pricing FAQ says cancellation is available from the Billing page in the dashboard. It does not establish a refund or the effective access-end date in the text reviewed here; check the account confirmation for those terms.

Is the Poptin Free plan unbranded?

Do not assume that from the direct page's extracted text because some access states are communicated by icons whose meaning is lost. The current Shopify card explicitly labels Free as branded. Confirm the credit inside the installation route and account you will publish from.
