Which allowance fits the campaign?
Forecast visitors and campaign displays separately. For example, 8,000 monthly visitors generating 60,000 popup views would fit Poptin Basic’s stated visitor allowance but exceed Hello Bar Growth’s display allowance. A forecast of 12,000 visitors and 20,000 popup views produces the opposite result. These are planning examples, not measured billing results.
Confirm how each account counts activity, including repeated visits and overlapping campaigns. Do not assume a visitor always generates one view. A persistent campaign and a narrowly targeted offer may produce different display volumes on the same website.
How long can the free evaluation run?
Poptin Free has a monthly 1,000-visitor allowance. Hello Bar Starter has 5,000 lifetime views. At 500 views per day, that lifetime allowance would last about ten days; it does not replenish each month. Forecast your campaign exposure before relying on it for ongoing use.
Use the evaluation to check display, dismissal, mobile layout, form validation and lead delivery. Hello Bar’s pricing table places A/B testing on paid plans, so a Starter evaluation is not a testing-enabled paid-plan trial. Confirm the intended Poptin experiment controls in the account as well.
What should an integration quote include?
Hello Bar lists basic email connections and Zapier across plans, but deeper CRM connections and custom webhooks require Premium or Elite. Premium’s checked annual total is $588. Do not assume Growth meets a custom-webhook brief simply because it connects to email tools.
For Poptin, verify the required destination and plan entitlement. Specify fields, consent state and the event that creates or updates a contact. Send a test record and check its destination properties. Direct connections and automation services can support different parts of the workflow; a connector count alone does not establish a better fit.
Does Poptin replace the email platform too?
Treat this as a separate requirement. Poptin offers Emails & Poptins alongside popup-only plans. The combined Free card lists 250 active contacts, 500 emails and 1,000 popup visitors. Those are independent limits, and the $25 popup-only Basic price is not a complete email-replacement quote.
If your current sender remains, include its recurring cost with either capture product. If it will be replaced, obtain the combined quote and map the automations and consent data that must move. Budget migration effort as well as the subscription.
How should a promotion be operated?
Hello Bar’s current pricing FAQ describes paid campaigns pausing when the allowance is exhausted until reset or upgrade. Confirm Poptin’s selected-account quota terms separately. Assign an owner to usage checks and record the next allowance before a high-traffic launch.
Choose the plan that supports the actual format, audience, integration and traffic forecast. These are evaluation criteria, not a claim that one tool installs faster or that an old review score proves stronger support.

Questions before you decide
Frequently asked questions
Do Poptin and Hello Bar free allowances reset the same way?
No. Poptin Free lists 1,000 monthly visitors, while Hello Bar Starter lists 5,000 lifetime views. A campaign using 500 views daily would consume the latter in about ten days. This is a planning example, not a measured result.
Can I compare Poptin visitors directly with Hello Bar popup views?
No. A visitor can generate multiple displays or none, depending on targeting and frequency. Forecast both metrics and check account definitions. The larger allowance number does not by itself establish more usable capacity.
Does Hello Bar Growth cover custom webhooks?
The checked pricing table reserves custom webhooks for Premium and Elite. Premium is $588 annually at the checked rate. Verify the matching Poptin plan and the exact field/event requirements before comparing the integration budgets.
Is Poptin popup-only Basic an email-replacement quote?
No. Emails & Poptins is a separate offering with contact and sending allowances. Its combined Free card lists 250 active contacts and 500 emails alongside 1,000 popup visitors. Compare the selected combined plan with your existing sender and popup costs.
