Wisepops no longer publishes a self-serve grid on wisepops.com. The marketing site books a demo. The numbers that are in public in 2026: homepage FAQ says the high-touch plan starts at $499/month; the pricing-page FAQ says from €499/month; the Shopify App Store lists self-serve at $299/month for 500k pageviews ($2,990/year). Extra sites are $10/website/month. No free plan; 14-day trial. Poptin is the cheap public visitor-metered alternative.

Poptin source: poptin.com/pricing. Wisepops billing model: support.wisepops.com, 30 Jan 2026.

Pageviews run hotter than unique visitors. A store with 12,500 monthly visitors can generate 50,000+ pageviews. Poptin's Agency cap (150,000 unique visitors) and a Wisepops pageview tier are not 1:1. We will not pretend they are.

The 2023 $49 / 100k pageviews grid is withdrawn. Do not budget from it. Full caveat: Wisepops pricing.

What does each tool do?

Poptin: popups, bars, slide-ins, overlays, gamified widgets, forms. Triggers and targeting are broad for the price (exit intent, cart, geo, cookie, JS). A/B testing is on the vendor table for every Poptins plan. Integrations: 70+ native, Zapier, Make, webhooks. Agency subaccounts exist. Capterra 4.8/5 from 350 reviews (21 July 2026).

Wisepops: popups, bars and embeds in one campaign model. Targeting by behaviour, location and language is the reason people pay for it. Shopify integration is a selling point. Gamification exists. The help centre still documents pageview billing, not visitor billing. We did not re-audit the 2026 editor feature-by-feature for this page; the targeting reputation is the one that still shows up in competitor comparison tables.

If the brief is "personalise on-site messages across a large catalogue," Wisepops is the category. If the brief is "exit-intent capture this week for $0–$25," Poptin is.

How do integrations compare?

Poptin publishes a long native list and a help article per ESP. Poptin integrations. Wisepops historically advertised 60+ CRMs and ESPs plus custom code. We could not re-count that list from a public 2026 page without a login.

Neither tool is a full ESP. Both expect you to own Mailchimp, Klaviyo, HubSpot or the equivalent.

Which one should you pick?

Will not take a sales call, need a number today, traffic fits under 50,000 unique visitors: Poptin.

On Shopify and willing to pay $299/mo for 500k pageviews: Wisepops' Shopify app.

Everywhere else, and targeting is the job: book the Wisepops demo and expect $499 / €499 language. Look at Sleeknote and OptiMonk before you take that call if design or gamification is the actual brief.
