How Can I Add My Embed Code on My Website with Popupsmart?

Popupsmart installs as one JavaScript snippet. Copy Embed Code from the dashboard, paste it once just before </body>, add the domain, then verify it. Shopify stores should use the App Store listing instead of theme.liquid.

Vendor source: How to embed the code on your site, checked August 2026. The vendor says the snippet is 97KB. Do not paste it twice on the same site; a double install is a common "it doesn't fire" bug.

Where do I copy the embed code?

  1. Log in at app.popupsmart.com.
  2. On the left bar, click Embed Code. Onboarding shows the same snippet on step 3.

Where do I paste it?

Open the site's template. Find the opening <body> and paste the snippet just before the closing </body>. Save.

On WordPress that is often the theme footer or a header/footer plugin. On Webflow, Project Settings → Custom Code → Footer. On a custom HTML site, the layout file. Google Tag Manager is the other path: GTM guide.

How do I add the domain after the paste?

  1. Dashboard → account (bottom left) → Websites.
  2. New Website, enter example.com, Save.
  3. Verify. The popup will not show on an unverified domain. Steps: How can I verify my website with Popupsmart.

What if I am on Shopify?

Do not paste the snippet into theme.liquid unless you have a reason. Install Popupsmart: AI Popup, A/B Test. The 2026 Shopify help article says the account is created for you and store fonts and colours are imported. Walkthrough: How to integrate Popupsmart with Shopify.
