OptiMonk is the tool to beat if you like Sleeknote and you do not want to pay Sleeknote prices. Both do on-site popups and gamification. OptiMonk publishes a free plan. Sleeknote does not.
Pick OptiMonk for a first store, a free-plan test, or a cheaper wheel. Pick Sleeknote if you already run several domains and you want phone support without climbing tiers.
This is not a tie. For most people who land on this page, OptiMonk is the better buy. Sleeknote is the better fit for a narrower, richer ecommerce brief.

Who should pick which?
If you want a wheel on a small shop this week, OptiMonk. Free plan, games included, pageview meter.
If you run shop.com, shop.de, and shop.fr on one account and you will call someone when a campaign breaks, Sleeknote. That unlimited-domain + phone combo is the reason the invoice is higher.
If you are on Shopify and you want the email tool in the same product, neither. Look at Privy.
How do the products differ?
Both have drag-and-drop editors, exit-intent, geo, A/B tests, and ecommerce templates. The split is packaging.
Sleeknote sells Core, then charges extra for the game pack. OptiMonk treats games as part of the product. Sleeknote's 2026 homepage still leans on "it looks like your brand." OptiMonk leans on personalisation and the wheel.
OptiMonk reviewers have called template styling less flexible than it looks, and mobile exit-intent unreliable. Sleeknote's public review pile is tiny (G2 4.3/5 from 5 reviews). Neither has a loud, current review graph.
Sleeknote meters visitors. OptiMonk meters pageviews. A high-pages-per-session store can look cheaper on Sleeknote and worse on OptiMonk, or the reverse. Check your analytics before you guess.
How does pricing compare?
Sleeknote: no free plan. Core $69 / $55 a month (monthly / billed annually) at 0-25k visitors on the US view. EU view: €62 / €49. Full bands on Sleeknote pricing.
OptiMonk: free plan, then paid pageview tiers. We are not reprinting OptiMonk's last published dollar figure here as if we re-checked it today. Use OptiMonk pricing.
Sleeknote's annual 20% off and 100-day annual refund are generous. They do not make Core cheap.
Verdict
OptiMonk for most stores. Sleeknote if domains and phone support are the actual requirements, not a nice extra.
