Who each one is for

Reasons to pick one over the other, taken from each tool's profile — not a feature-by-feature scorecard.

Choose OptinMonster if

Content and WordPress sites that will pay Pro for Exit-Intent and actually run split tests.

  • WordPress plugin still listed at 1+ million active installs
  • A/B testing starts on Plus rather than the top plan
  • Native Mailchimp, Brevo, HubSpot and Constant Contact connectors
  • Exit-Intent is the reason most buyers pick Pro

Skip OptinMonster if

  • No free plan; refunds only within 14 days of a first purchase
  • Exit-Intent, Shopify and WooCommerce sit on Pro or Growth
  • Intro rates jump to full price on renewal
  • G2 reviews still call out price and the visual editor

Choose Adoric if

Shopify stores that want popups plus product recs on order-based billing, not a $100 web floor.

  • Shopify app is $4.99/mo for up to 100 store orders
  • Behaviour, cookie, HTML and event targeting on the web product
  • Shopify App Store rating 4.9 from 245 reviews as of 23 Aug 2026

Skip Adoric if

  • Web paid plans start at $100/mo, up from $9 in 2023
  • A/B tests and logo removal sit on $250 and $350 tiers
  • G2 rating could not be loaded; web review volume is thin

OptinMonster Pro is $29 a month intro, $870 to renew, on optinmonster.com/pricing (29 August 2026). The WordPress plugin lists 1+ million installs. Adoric web Basic is $100 a month for 300,000 pageviews (adoric.com/pricing). The Shopify app starts at $4.99/mo for 0–100 orders. Our 2023 copy treated Adoric as the cheap paid on-ramp. That is false for web SaaS.

Pick OptinMonster for Exit-Intent and the plugin. Pick Adoric Shopify if you want recs on order billing. Do not pick Adoric web to "keep the invoice small."
