Pick Poptin if the job is on-site popups and forms, with leads going to an ESP you already pay for. Pick Mailmunch if you want the popup, the landing page and the email send in one bill.
Poptin is a popup builder that talks to Mailchimp, HubSpot, Klaviyo and the rest. Mailmunch is a list-building kit that happens to include popups. The 2023 page treated them as two form tools. They are not.

How do the prices compare?
| Poptin (Poptins line) | Mailmunch (Lead Capture) | |
|---|---|---|
| Meter | Unique monthly visitors | Contacts on the email line; Lead Capture Premium includes 1,000 contacts |
| Free | 1,000 visitors/mo, 1 domain, unlimited campaigns | Forms, popups, landing pages, 1 welcome email, Mailmunch branding |
| Paid start | Basic $25/mo ($240/yr) for 10,000 visitors | Premium $19.99/mo or $13.99/mo billed annually |
| What paid buys | Visitors, domains, unbranded widgets, autoresponder sends | Unlimited forms and landing pages, 1,000 contacts, automation, Shopify abandoned-cart email, no branding |
| Money-back | Not printed on the Poptins cards we read | 30 days on Lead Capture copy; 60 days on the email-marketing block |
| Source | poptin.com/pricing | mailmunch.com/pricing |
Mailmunch also has a separate Email Marketing ladder on the same URL: Essential $9.99/mo or $6.99 billed annually (500 subscribers), Pro $19.99 / $13.99 (1,000 subscribers), plus an Agency card printed at $6.9/mo. That Agency figure looks like a per-something rate the page does not explain. We do not treat $6.9 as a comparable monthly total.
Poptin now has its own Emails & Poptins toggle. Capterra lists that Growth plan at $19/mo; the vendor card we read did not print a dollar amount. Until Poptin prints it, Mailmunch is the one with a clear "popup + email" price.
What does each tool do?
Poptin: popups, bars, slide-ins, overlays, gamified widgets, embedded forms. Exit intent, cart triggers, geo and cookie targeting, A/B testing on every Poptins plan according to the vendor table. Leads export to 70+ native tools. It is not trying to replace Klaviyo.
Mailmunch: forms and popups, landing pages, a drag-and-drop email builder, automations, drip, Shopify abandoned-cart email on Premium. Native apps for Shopify, Wix, WordPress, Weebly. The list is the product.
If you already pay for an ESP, buying Mailmunch Premium is a second email tool. If you do not have an ESP, Poptin Basic is a popup tool with nowhere to send the mail.
How do integrations compare?
Poptin is the connector: Campaign Monitor, Customer.io, SendGrid, Zoho CRM, HubSpot, Salesforce, ActiveCampaign, Kit, Brevo, and Zapier/Make. How-tos: Campaign Monitor, Customer.io, SendGrid, Zoho CRM. Archive: Poptin integrations.
Mailmunch's pitch is "you may not need the connector." WordPress, Shopify, Wix, Weebly get a plugin. The email stays inside Mailmunch unless you export.
Which one should you pick?
Have an ESP, want a cheap on-site campaign: Poptin.
Have no ESP, want landing pages and a send button: Mailmunch.
Shopify store that wants email and SMS next to the popup: look at Privy before either of these two.
