wisepops.com/pricing is a demo page, not a public grid (checked 2026-08-23). Homepage FAQ at wisepops.com says the high-touch plan starts at $499/month. The pricing-page FAQ says plans start at €499/month. Shopify App Store lists self-serve at $299/month for 500k pageviews (apps.shopify.com/pop-up-builder-wisepops), or $2,990/year. Annual billing is two months free. Extra sites are $10/website/month (support.wisepops.com/en/articles/9897759-manage-your-websites). The 2023 $49/100k grid is withdrawn.

📌
If you are leaving Wisepops in 2026, it is probably because of price or the demo wall, not because the editor failed. Shopify self-serve is $299/month. High-touch starts at $499 or €499. For a popup you can buy without a sales call, pick a tool that still prints a grid. Ranked below for that job, not for "who has the most channels."

Wisepops is still a capable on-site campaign product. Targeting is strong. Six channels is more than a lightbox. That is not the question most people typing "Wisepops alternatives" have. They want something cheaper, or something they can check out this afternoon.

Which Wisepops alternative should you use?

If you need Use this instead Why
A public price and a free plan Hello Bar or Mailmunch Hello Bar from $0; Growth $39/mo billed annually (hero; table still says $29). Mailmunch from $0 / $19.99, or $13.99/mo annual. Both checked 23 Aug 2026.
Shopify popups without a demo Popupsmart or OptiMonk Public pageview plans. Wisepops' Shopify app is $299 for 500k views.
Split tests you will actually run OptinMonster A/B testing is the product, not an add-on.
Design-led ecommerce campaigns Sleeknote Templates are the pitch. Trial on every plan, no free forever tier.
A strategist running the account Stay on Wisepops That is what the 2026 high-touch plan is. The alternatives below do not sell that.

OptinMonster

OptinMonster is a lead-capture suite built around campaigns, display rules and reporting. It is the closest "serious popup tool" alternative if you will run tests and you want a vendor that still publishes plans.

Homepage of OptinMonster on a green background

Pick OptinMonster over Wisepops when you want self-serve checkout and a large training library. Pick Wisepops when you want feed + web push + a person on the account. Pair page: OptinMonster vs Wisepops. OptinMonster's current dollar figures live on its pricing page; we have not re-verified them in this rewrite.

Watch-outs. No free plan (14-day money-back on our last profile). Reviewers still call the editor awkward on some themes. It is not the cheap option. It is the option with a printed menu.

OptiMonk

OptiMonk is the usual Shopify-adjacent replacement: pageview pricing, gamified campaigns, a free plan. If you wanted 2023 Wisepops (self-serve popups, spin-to-win, public tiers), this is the shape of that product.

Homepage of OptiMonk on a colorful background

G2 reviewers often score Wisepops slightly higher on ease of use; OptiMonk's own comparison pages lean on the free plan and AI builder. Pair: OptiMonk vs Wisepops. Pricing: OptiMonk pricing.

Watch-outs. Template styling is less flexible than the first pass suggests. Mobile exit-intent is a known weak spot in older reviews. Confirm both on a trial before you migrate campaigns.

Hello Bar

Hello Bar is a popup and notification-bar builder. It still starts free. Paid entry is Growth at $39/month billed annually on the hellobar.com/pricing hero cards (23 August 2026). The same page still prints $29. Either way it is an order of magnitude below Wisepops' verified floor.

Homepage of Hello Bar on a red-orange background

Use Hello Bar when the job is a top-of-page announcement or a simple opt-in. Don't use it when you need quizzes, a notification feed, or holdout tests on revenue per visitor. Pair: Wisepops vs Hello Bar.

Watch-outs. Scheduling is thin. HubSpot is missing. You will outgrow it if on-site CRO is the whole job.

Sleeknote

Sleeknote is the design-first ecommerce popup. Every plan starts as a trial. No free forever tier on our last profile. People switch here from Wisepops when the campaign has to look like the brand, not like a template with the logo swapped.

Homepage of Sleeknote on a colorful background

Pair: Sleeknote vs Wisepops. Pricing: Sleeknote pricing. We have not re-verified Sleeknote's 2026 dollar amounts in this pass.

Watch-outs. Shorter native integration list than Wisepops. No free plan. The admin can feel cluttered. Confirm HubSpot/Zapier cover your stack before you move.

Popupsmart

Popupsmart is the no-code pageview tool aimed at getting a first campaign live the same day. Public pricing. Free plan (capped). This is the "I don't want a demo" alternative.

Homepage of Popupsmart on a soft blue background

Pair: Popupsmart vs Wisepops. Pricing: Popupsmart pricing.

Watch-outs. The free tier is small. Reviewers report a slow editor. Domain verification can take more than one try. You will not get a Wisepops-style strategist.

Should you stay on Wisepops?

Yes, if you already use the feed or web push, your Klaviyo sync is working, and the bill is not the problem. Switching popup tools is a week of retargeting rules and lost history. Don't churn for a $50 theoretical saving if the campaigns are paying for themselves.

No, if you have never bought it and you are here because the demo form is the pricing page. Start with Hello Bar or Mailmunch for a cheap test, OptiMonk or Popupsmart for a real Shopify popup stack, OptinMonster if testing is the job. Come back to Wisepops when you can point at a reason the extra $200 to $400 a month buys something those tools don't.
