This page exists because people still search "Sumo pricing". The honest answer is a status, then a successor table, then the 2023 figures so old invoices make sense.

The screenshot above is the 2023 Sumo pricing page. It is not current. We keep it because it is what this URL used to describe.
Is there a Sumo plan you can buy today?
No. Checked 23 August 2026.
sumo.com and sumo.com/pricing resolve to Refract. There is no Free plan, no Pro plan, no checkout.
Showit bought the popup product in December 2023 and renamed it BDOW! on 24 April 2024. Formilytics LLC runs it. AppSumo, which is still a deal site, is a different company and does not sell this tool.
If a Site ID snippet is still on your pages, the vendor is BDOW. Log in at app.bdow.com, not at sumo.com.
What does BDOW cost?
Read from bdow.com/pricing on 23 August 2026. The page stacks overlapping cards, so these figures are a reading, not a screenshot-perfect grid.
| Plan | Price (USD) | Sites | Traffic / sends | Locked behind this plan |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Free | $0 | 1 | 100 conversions, 500 emails/month | Opt-in forms, basic targeting, email integrations, analytics. Branding stays. |
| Plus | $19/mo billed yearly ($228/year), or $25/mo | 1 | 25,000 pageviews, 6,000 emails/month | Branding off, advanced targeting, A/B tests, welcome emails, webhooks, ecommerce hooks, 2-year stats |
| Pro | $39/mo billed yearly ($468/year), or $49/mo | 3 | 25,000 pageviews/site, 10,000 emails/month | Same feature set as Plus, more sites |
A 14-day money-back window is advertised on the paid buttons. Checkout still runs through sumome.com/purchase URLs and Chargify plan slugs dated 2024 (plus-annual-2024, pro-annual-2024). That is leftover SumoMe plumbing, not a Sumo storefront.
We do not put $19 or $39 in Sumo's starting-price field. Those are BDOW prices. Sumo's field is null.
What did Sumo itself cost in 2023?
The last figures this site published, from Sumo's own page on 13 January 2023:
| Plan | Price we recorded | What it included |
|---|---|---|
| Free | $0 | Custom opt-in forms, URL and device targeting, social sharing, unlimited subscribers, 10,000 emails/month, welcome emails, Mailchimp / AWeber / Constant Contact / Campaign Monitor, Sumo badge on every campaign |
| Pro | $39/month | Badge off, A/B tests, location / cookie / referrer targeting, no email cap, Klaviyo / HubSpot / Infusionsoft / Salesforce / Pardot, Shopify and WooCommerce, 1-on-1 onboarding |
The 2023 copy on this URL also claimed a "yearly" Pro price of $49/month "saving 20%". That cannot be right next to a $39 monthly figure, so we are not repeating it as fact. Treat $39/month as the last monthly Pro number we trust from that research pass.
Pro was sold as one plan, not a visitor ladder. That was the commercial idea: a flat $39 instead of pageview tiers. BDOW kept a flat structure and split it into Plus and Pro.
How do those numbers sit against living tools?
All competitor figures checked 23 August 2026 on the vendor pages named in the last column.
| Tool | Entry paid price | Meter | Free plan | Source |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Sumo | None. Not sold. | n/a | n/a | sumo.com/pricing |
| BDOW! (successor) | $19/mo billed yearly (Plus) | Pageviews + emails + sites | Yes, $0, 100 conversions | bdow.com/pricing |
| OptiMonk | $19/mo billed yearly (Essential, 20k pageviews). Monthly is $29. | Pageviews | Yes, $0, 10k pageviews, all features. Pricing page says unbranded; FAQ (our OptiMonk profile) still mentions a badge. | optimonk.com/pricing |
| Mailmunch | $13.99/mo billed yearly (Premium) | Subscribers | Yes, $0 | mailmunch.com/pricing |
| Hello Bar | $39/mo billed yearly (Growth, 50k views). Same page's feature table lists $29. | Popup views | Yes, $0, 5,000 lifetime views | hellobar.com/pricing |
| Popupsmart | $32.50/mo billed yearly (Basic, 50k pageviews) | Pageviews | Yes, $0, 5k pageviews | popupsmart.com/pricing |
| OptinMonster | Intro $7/mo (Basic, billed yearly). Sticker is $210/year ($17.50/mo). Renews at full price. | Campaign impressions | No. 14-day refund | optinmonster.com/pricing |
| Adoric | $100/mo (Basic, 300k pageviews, 3 domains) | Pageviews | A free tier is mentioned in the FAQ (you can downgrade to it). Paid starts at $100. | adoric.com/pricing |
OptiMonk's free plan is the one that makes BDOW's Free look thin: 100 conversions versus 10,000 pageviews and every campaign type. If you are paying $39/month for a leftover Sumo/BDOW Pro and you are not on Showit, you are paying 2019 money for 2026 software.
Should you pay BDOW or leave?
Pay BDOW only if the forms are already live, the list is flowing, and a rebuild would cost more than $228 a year. Showit users have a native install; that is the one case where staying is the obvious move.
Leave if you are on WordPress and the sumome plugin is untested on your version (WordPress.org's own banner, as of this writing). Leave if you only wanted share buttons or heat maps. Leave if you are starting a new site. The ranking is on Sumo alternatives. The product overview is at Sumo.
How to cancel a leftover Sumo bill
The 2023 steps (sumo.com/sites → Manage → Billing → Cancel subscription) died with the domain. Use BDOW's Account/Billing docs, or email help@bdow.com with the Site ID from your embed. Card descriptors may still say Sumo, SumoMe or Formilytics.
Legacy plans could not be rebought after cancel, even in 2023. If you cancel a leftover Pro, you will be offered a current BDOW plan, not the old Sumo SKU.
