How to Integrate Mailmunch with Wix

Two installs, two jobs. The app runs popovers, top bars and the rest of the overlay types. The Custom Element is only for an embed sitting in the page layout.

How do you install the Wix app?

Mailmunch documents this in How to install Mailchimp Forms by Mailmunch Wix App?. In Wix: Apps > Manage Apps, then open the Mailmunch app (listed as Mailmunch Forms, or Mailchimp Forms by Mailmunch if that is the one you added). Campaigns you publish in that account show on the live Wix site.

That is the path you want for exit popups and bars. Skip the custom element unless you need a form in the page body.

How do you embed a form on a Wix page?

1. In Mailmunch, create an embed form (not a popover). Their Creating an embed form article is the campaign-type step.

2. On the Publish step, copy the HTML. Mailmunch shows something like <div class='mailmunch-forms-widget-1068962'></div>. Copy only the class value, the mailmunch-forms-widget-… part.

3. In the Wix editor, open the page, then Add > Embed > Custom Embeds > Custom Element.

4. Place the element and click Set Attributes.

5. Attribute name: class. Value: the class you copied (mailmunch-forms-widget-…). Click Set.

6. Double-click the custom element. Set Tag Name to mailmunch-embed-form (lowercase, with the hyphens). The 2023 version of this page used a capital M; Mailmunch's live article uses mailmunch-embed-form.

7. Publish the Wix site. Visit the live URL to test. The embed will not show in the Wix editor. That is expected, and Mailmunch's article says so.

If nothing appears on the live page, confirm the app is installed, the form is published in Mailmunch, and the class matches that form's widget id. More: Mailmunch integrations.
